Used containers can work when the shell is structurally sound and the project accepts the available dimensions. Heavy corrosion, twisted frames or unknown floor treatments can create repair cost and uncertainty.
Plan before manufacture
A new container offers predictable condition but still needs openings, reinforcement, insulation and services. Once large façades or joined spaces are required, a purpose-built steel unit may be more efficient than modifying a shipping shell.
Make the decision clearer
Choose according to operation, lifespan, transport and future disassembly—not the lowest shell price. The complete installed unit is the real comparison.
